Vegetables, our allies

How many times have we read that vegetables are good for you. But why?
Let’s see a little more in detail the properties of the vegetables contained in our Rigatoni!
Thistles, fennel, chicory and chard are all renowned vegetables because they protect our health. They boast antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, antidiabetic, antioxidant, anticancer, diuretic and carminative properties. They all consist mostly of water, rich in proteins, lipids, fibers and minerals (potassium, sodium, calcium, iron, zinc, magnesium, phosphorus…).
Thistles are rich in vitamin B and C and are known for supporting and protecting the liver due to the presence of silymarin, which also regulates insulin levels.

One more reason

Fennel contains vitamins A and C which, in addition, make them antioxidants and anticancer.

Chard is a good source of Vitamins A, E, some of group B; a vegetable suitable for those suffering from high blood pressure.

Chicory includes vitamins A, C, E, B1, B3, B5, B6, J and K; stimulates liver activity
and kidneys, promotes the release of toxins and stimulates the production of bile that makes it able to reduce the risk of diseases such as colon cancer.

I nostri Rigatoni alle Erbe sono di un gusto neutro, leggero e facilmente abbinabile a tutto! Confondibile ad una pasta normale, anche per i più piccoli! Perchè selvatica? Le verdure contenute nei Rigatoni crescono spontaneamente, seguendo il naturale corso dell’ecosistema che le accoglie, sviluppandosi senza il concorso dell’opera dell’uomo o alcun tipo di trattamento.

Chi dice che il ‘selvatico’ non è commestibile? Il foraging (raccolta di piante selvatiche) è un’arte che richiede studio e conoscenza di ciascuna pianta. Le erbe selvatiche commestibili sono una risorsa importante per un’alimentazione sana perché molto più ricche di vitamine e minerali delle verdure coltivate. Sono frutto della selezione naturale: nascono solo dove trovano le condizioni ottimali per la loro crescita.
